The summer is looking brighter for eight students who have been awarded scholarships from the Dave & DeLaine Poppke Scholarship Fund to attend Gateway to Science Science Camps this summer. Students will utilize scholarships toward a variety of our summer camps, including “Engineer That,” “Lego Camp,” “Lego Design,” “Space Camp” and “Science Unplugged.” Scholarships are available for students on a need basis and require a referral. The scholarship fund was established by Burt and Margo Riskedahl as a tribute to Dave and DeLaine Poppke, who have demonstrated their commitment to Gateway to Science through countless hours of exhibit development and financial support. We are grateful to have this fund available so that we can offer quality educational experiences for students who might otherwise not have the opportunity.
