Program Instructors
Are you a teacher? An informal educator? Someone who likes to work with children? Gateway to Science accepts program proposals year-round. Our instructors are community members from many walks of life, from teachers to engineers, college students to retirees. We typically offer summer camps of 3-5 days from late May into August. If you have an idea for something different, please send it to us. We love new ideas!
Take a look at the 2011 Summer Camps to get an idea of programs we’ve offered in the past. Last year they met from 3 to 8 hours per day, depending on the program.
Instructors are paid a stipend based on the length of the program. Gateway to Science typically provides the materials, and each program’s specific needs are discussed before Instructor Agreements are signed. Programs have a maximum of 15 students.
