Bismarck Marathon Supports Gateway to Science
Posted by: | CommentsGateway to Science was chosen by the Krolls Diner Bismarck Marathon to benefit from the 2011 event held in September. On a cold and drizzly day, Gateway to Science staff and volunteers staffed a water stop to provide relief for the 1,800 runners and walkers who participated in the event.
The vision of the Bismarck Marathon is to encourage active lifestyles. Recently, I was honored to join the Marathon committee for a luncheon at which checks were distributed to Gateway to Science and four other worthy charities, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Bismarck/Mandan, YMCA Strong Kids, Dakota Boys & Girls Ranch and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We appreciate the support!~Beth Demke, Executive Director
And the Winner Is…
Posted by: | CommentsThe guests were hotly divided as to who would come out the champion, there were definite favorites coming into the showdown. Guests were talking about the dishes before they even made it to the table as the aromas from the kitchen were wafting through the Frances Leach High Prairie Arts & Science Complex.
We thank you for joining us in our evening of fun and food and wine. We are already looking forward to next year’s showdown!
