Acids & Bases

Recommended for Grades 4-7+

This chemistry trunk teaches the characteristics of acids and bases and how to determine the pH level of several household substances. It also illustrates a number of chemical changes including changes in heat energy, formation of a new chemical when two other chemicals are mixed, and the formation of a gas when two chemicals are combined.

Gateway to Science is located in the Frances Leach High Prairie Arts and Science Complex. Our address is 1810 Schafer Street, Suite 1, Bismarck, ND 58501-1218. Please Note: Gateway to Science is NOT located in the Jack Science Center building on the campus of Bismarck State College, but is north of the campus.

ACCESSIBLITY
Frances Leach High Prairie Arts & Science Complex is wheelchair accessible through the main entrance. Elevator access and accessible restrooms are available on both floors.
