GATEWAY TO SCIENCE -8th ANNUAL FAMILY ROCKET DAY

The event will be held at the Frances Leach High Prairie Arts & Science Complex located at 1810 Schafer Street. Drawings for FREE rocket kits will be held throughout the afternoon! The event is free, open to the public, and no registration required.
Families are invited to join us in building and launching a variety of rockets. Volunteers will be on hand to help participants build and launch the water rockets, air pressure rockets, alka-seltzer rockets, and engine-propelled rockets. Pat Riepl, builder of his famous Patriot Rocket, is returning to help launch your rocket and display a few of his own rockets. Mike Whorley, will have his personal collection of Rockets on display and video footage of past launches.
If you choose to build an engine propelled rocket the cost for the kit is $10.00 for Gateway to Science members and $12.00 for the general public. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
