Girls Who Code
May 9 @ 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm
An event every week that begins at 4:15pm on Thursday, repeating until May 9, 2019
Girls Who Code 3rd-5th Grade Clubs are a community of girls who actively design, code, read, and explore together. Featuring activities, characters, and vocabulary drawn from the best-selling Girls Who Code books, 3rd-5th Grade Clubs expose girls to bravery, resilience, and computational thinking at the exact moment when research indicates that their interest is high.
Each meeting will include fun, interactive activities that are unique to Girls Who Code. A typical meeting starts with girls reading together from a part of the book. Then they discuss questions that relate to both the book and important concepts, like bravery and sisterhood. The Club will then take on a creative challenge that relates to the chapter they read, either unplugged or online.
Girls Who Code will meet on Thursday from 4:15 – 5:15 p.m. for six weeks beginning April 4. Meeting dates are April 4, 11, 18, and 25; and, May 2 and 9.
