Coding Club Grades 6-8

February 5 at 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm

Throughout the Clubs, members will:

  • Learn to see themselves as computer scientists.
  • Gain exposure to project management and problem-solving techniques.
  • Learn in a safe and supportive environment of peers and role models.
  • Learn the foundational computer science concepts that form the basis for all programming languages.

There is no cost to participate in NDGTS Coding Club, but registration is required.

Grades 6-8 will learn a variety of programming languages, including Scratch, Swift, Python, and JavaScript. Girls Who Code Projects offer a range of difficulties for beginner programmers who have little to no experience programming to more advanced learners who will engage in more advanced topics like data structures.

Coding Club for grades 6-8 meets Mondays from 3:45 to 5:00 pm at Simle Middle School.

Contact Arin via email at arin@gscience.org with questions or call North Dakota’s Gateway to Science office at 701-258-1975.
