2025 STEM All-Star Students

The 2025 STEM All-Stars are Asher Jones, Ian Keller, Khloe Schiermeister, Waylon Seeyle, Susannah Schug, and Robert Anderson (not pictured). Tioga High School science teacher Sarah Skarphol was also honored with a $1,000 STEM grant to support Project Elementary Maker Space. Congratulations to all of the 2025 STEM All-Stars and Ms. Skarphol for their dedication, innovation, and passion for STEM education!

STEM All-Star Opportunity

Each year, six students from North Dakota schools who exhibited hard work, education, and a love of learning were selected as STEM All-Stars from nominations by their teachers.

MDU Resources also sponsored a $1,000 award for one nominating teacher to be used for a STEM project at their school. In honor of their accomplishment, the Larks recognized each 2025 STEM All-Star during the STEM Night game. Each STEM All-Star received the following:

  • Larks jersey with name on the back
  • Four Larks tickets to the STEM Night game
  • Recognition in the Larks STEM Night game program and on-field at STEM Night
  • Family 1-day pass to North Dakota’s Gateway to Science

In conjunction with the STEM All-Star recognition, the MDU Resources STEM Expo was held at the ballpark earlier in the day. This was a carnival-style event featuring hands-on STEM activities hosted by area businesses.

Partners

North Dakota’s Gateway to Science teamed up with MDU Resources and the Bismarck Larks to bring STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) to the baseball field once again. Together, they recognized the importance of equipping youth with the knowledge and skills to solve tough problems, gather and evaluate evidence, and comprehend information.
