David Brousseau

As the Exhibit Technician, David ensures every exhibit is safe, reliable, and fully functional. He maintains and repairs exhibits (including our On the Go travelling exhibits), collaborates with exhibit developers, and addresses technical challenges to keep the gallery and On the Go operating at its best.

Impacting the Mission

With a genuine love of “figuring out the how,” David is the behind-the-scenes force that keeps NDGTS’s interactive science experiences engaging and enjoyable. He evaluates exhibit performance, enhances existing experiences, and develops new solutions that make science accessible for all visitors. Whether tuning a circuit, repairing a mechanism, or building a prototype, his thoughtful approach helps every guest explore, experiment, and learn.

Experience and Expertise

David attended BSC for Telecommunications and completed coursework in electronics, giving him a strong foundation in circuitry, troubleshooting, and system design. Beyond formal training, years of tinkering with retro consoles, hardware modifications, and complex electronics projects have strengthened his ability to diagnose issues and engineer practical solutions.

Outside of NDGTS

Outside of work, David is constantly immersed in creative tech projects. He enjoys collecting vinyl, building custom mechanical keyboards, assembling PCs, refining personal media servers, and exploring the world of retro technology.

Favorite Exhibit, Event, or Experiment

David’s favorite exhibit is the Pentaductor, a beautifully simple yet scientifically rich installation. He loves how it blends audio, electronics, and human interaction—changing frequency and intensity based on conductivity, resistance, and even how many people are part of the circuit. From the surprising difference between wet and dry hands to the collaborative nature of forming chains around the plates, the Pentaductor captures everything David loves about interactive science: discovery, connection, and a little bit of mystery.
