Summer Camps Kick Off at Gateway to Science

Bismarck, ND – North Dakota’s Gateway to Science is thrilled to kick-off 11 weeks of STEM-focused summer camps beginning the week of Memorial Day–May 27th. With plenty of spots available in the early sessions, families can still take advantage of this exciting opportunity for hands-on summer learning.

Camps are offered for students entering grades 1–6 and grades 7–9, providing an enriching, age-appropriate experience across the STEM spectrum—science, technology, engineering, and math. Campers explore these core areas through structured activities and experimentation in a fun, informal setting that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and the development of new skills and interests.

For younger students in grades 1–6, weekly camps run all summer long and include science experiments, engineering challenges, coding, outdoor exploration, and more. Camp is filled with fun, hands-on activities that spark curiosity and build STEM confidence while building friendships.

For older students entering grades 7–9, Gateway to Science offers three specialized weeks of camp throughout the summer. Themed sessions dive into topics like Environmental Science, coding, the human body, robotics, chemistry, Aerospace, and more, giving middle school students a deeper look at STEM fields in an interactive, exploratory setting.

Throughout the summer, campers engage with guest presenters from various industries, providing meaningful real-world connections and inspiration.

Families can choose from full-day or half-day camp options, making it easy to fit science into their summer plans.

Spots are limited—make the most of the start of summer and register today!
