Coding Club – Elementary
Coding Club – Grades 3-5
September 14, 2023 at 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm
Through coding club, students will learn to see themselves as computer scientists, gain exposure to project management and problem-solving techniques, learn in a safe and supportive environment of peers and role models, and learn the foundational computer science concepts that form the basis for all programming languages.
Through partnership and resources provided by Girls Who Code, students will complete unplugged or plugged challenges in Scratch after reading each chapter in the Girls Who Code non-fiction book, Learn to Code and Change the World, or the fiction book, the Friendship Code.
Girls Who Code for grades 3-5 meets Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:15 pm at Gateway to Science.
There is no cost to participate, but registration is required.
