Volunteer Spotlight: Errol Erickson
This month, we’re thrilled to recognize Errol Erickson, one of the incredible volunteers who brings science to life every day at North Dakota’s Gateway to Science.
Errol has been with us for many years, even prior to opening our new facility. Since opening our new facility in March of 2023, Errol has contributed over 805 hours of his time, sharing his enthusiasm for science with visitors of all ages. Whether he’s guiding guests through our hands-on exhibits, assisting with school field trips, or helping out at special events, Errol brings warmth, patience, and curiosity to every interaction.
Favorite exhibit: “I have more than one favorite exhibit at North Dakota’s Gateway to Science, but I’d say that the rotocopters are my most favorite.”
Why he volunteers: “I’ve had a lifelong interest in science and, therefore, I enjoy devoting time to promoting science, educating about science, and enhancing curiosity about all things science to anyone from youths to adults. North Dakota’s Gateway to Science provides a unique opportunity for me to do this.”
We’re so grateful for volunteers like Errol—his passion and dedication help spark wonder in every visitor who walks through our doors. Thank you for being a vital part of our mission!
