If you’ve spent any time in our gallery this past year, you may have met Marvin Vetter—someone whose positivity and steady presence make a real difference at NDGTS. Marvin first volunteered with us more than a decade ago in our old building, helping with big community events like Rocket Days. When he returned in February 2024, he quickly became one of our most dependable volunteers, always ready to jump in on busy days or support special programs.
Marvin brings joy and humor to every shift, and staff frequently note how thorough and thoughtful he is—whether he’s helping a visitor, keeping an eye on exhibit function, or supporting activities during large events. This year alone, he’s been a huge help during no-school days and even ran the racetrack activity at Einstein on Wine. His kindness and upbeat attitude are easy to notice!
Favorite Exhibit
Marvin loves the Building Zone inside Science First—really, the entire Science First area. Watching kids light up as they explore, play, and discover is one of his favorite parts of volunteering. Their excitement, he says, never gets old.
Why He Volunteers
For Marvin, volunteering at NDGTS is easy and enjoyable. He appreciates the convenience of signing up for shifts online and the flexibility to jump in whenever his schedule allows. He says everything about volunteering here is smooth and welcoming—and that he always looks forward to being here.
We’re so grateful for volunteers like Marvin, whose kindness and steady support help create meaningful experiences for every visitor. Thank you for being an essential part of our mission!
