Mini-Camps for Grades 1-5
North Dakota’s Gateway to Science STEM Adventure Mini-Camps are held during the school year on select days when there is no school (NDGTS follows the Bismarck Public School District calendar). Every day is a new STEM Adventure! Campers can count on fun projects and activities each camp day.
Mini-camp begins at 8:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm. Campers may be checked in beginning at 7:45 am. Campers bring their own lunches for a supervised lunch break. Campers are asked to also bring a water bottle and snacks for morning and afternoon breaks.

Robotics Camp for Grades 5-8
The field of robotics is a fun way to introduce mechanical engineering and computer programming. Our robotics camp is hands-on and project-based and will combine teamwork and fun with kids as they build and program robots, through their own coding. In the robotics challenges, we emphasize teamwork, collaboration, and learning. Our daily schedule will incorporate friendly competitive challenges where our campers will task their team robots to solve challenges that can be applied to real career connections within North Dakota’s growing occupational pathway. Block coding (visual programming interface) will be introduced and supported, using our LEGO Spike Prime Robots. The camp will be taught by our Programs Director, Arin Casavant, who has supported robotics across ND for the last 12 years through the nationally-known FIRST robotics program.
