As one of the Visitor Services Supervisors, Brittany supports gallery operations, builds connections with visitors, and contributes to the mission through her commitment to guest engagement.

Impacting the Mission

Brittany plays an important role in supporting visitors throughout the gallery.  From mentoring Visitor Guides and modeling strong customer service to maintaining safety, cleanliness, and gallery readiness, she works to ensure every guest has a smooth and memorable experience. Beginning her time at NDGTS at the front desk, Brittany quickly became known for her friendly demeanor and her instinct for helping guests feel comfortable and excited to explore. Now in her supervisory role, she continues to focus on visitor experience through teamwork, attentiveness, and a passion for sharing science with the community.

Experience and Expertise

With a strong background in childcare and family engagement, Brittany brings valuable experience to her work in visitor services. Her roles in both childcare and the science center have strengthened her communication skills and ability to connect with learners of all ages. Working weekends at NDGTS is one of the highlights of her week; she loves the atmosphere, the energy of hands-on learning, and the smiles that come when visitors discover something new.

Outside of NDGTS

Outside of the science center, Brittany works full-time in childcare, a role that feels less like a job and more like an extension of her family. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her husband, her children, her grandson, and their four dogs. She also enjoys visiting the family farm, homeschooling, taking photos, tending to her extensive plant collection, and enjoying a good cup of coffee.

Favorite Exhibit, Event, or Experiment

Brittany’s favorite exhibit in the gallery is the Weather Station. Seeing visitors light up when they spot themselves on the screen always makes her smile. She also loves introducing visitors to the resident turtles, Lily and Squirt, who never fail to add an extra spark of joy to the gallery floor.
