Experience and Expertise

Tim has spent more than 30 years working in facility management. He joined the science center team while the new building was still under construction, learning every system as it went in and offering helpful insights as we prepared to open this incredible space to the public.

With hands-on expertise in everything from plumbing and equipment repair to painting and general maintenance, Tim leads a small and mighty maintenance crew and is always ready to step in to support our mission.

Outside of NDGTS

When Tim talks about his wife, Melissa, he says his life was black and white before he met her—and now it’s full of color. He’s also a proud dad to two sons and a very happy grandfather.

When he isn’t tending to the science center building and grounds, you’ll probably find Tim working in his own yard. He’s a skilled mechanic who loves restoring old cars and bringing them back to life. He even fixes up lawnmowers just so he can give them away to people who need them.

Favorite Exhibit, Event, or Experience

Tim will tell you his favorite exhibits are usually the ones that are actually working at the moment—and honestly, who can blame him? He loves jumping in with the team to troubleshoot and fix whatever needs attention. Challenging exhibits like Bloodstream Superhighway are especially fun for him, since keeping them running smoothly means balancing air, water, and pressure just right.
