2026 STEM Summer Camp

""

Summer at North Dakota’s Gateway to Science is filled with curiosity, creativity, and discovery.

Our 2026 STEM summer camp gave campers the chance to explore new ideas through hands-on learning, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Throughout the summer, campers asked questions, tested ideas, and saw how STEM connects to everyday life. From science magic and robotics to nature exploration and storytelling, each experience helped campers build confidence and curiosity.

Exploring STEM Through Hands-On Learning""""

At STEM summer camp, every day brought something new to discover.

Campers explored the science behind surprising demonstrations during their science magic show. They learned why things worked and created their own demonstrations to share with families and fellow campers.

""Also, campers took their learning outdoors through nature walks and exploration. They studied plants, insects, wildlife, and ecosystems while practicing the same observation skills scientists use.

Additionally, campers explored coding and robotics challenges. They programmed robots, tested solutions, and learned that challenges are part of the process. When something did not work, they adjusted their ideas and tried again.

Along the way, campers discovered plant science in the Outdoor Explorium. They planted vegetables and herbs while learning how STEM connects to agriculture and caring for the environment.

Campers also shared their discoveries through science story videos. They created ideas, researched topics, filmed projects, and practiced sharing science with others.

Through these experiences, campers built skills in:

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Creativity and teamwork
  • Communication and storytelling""
  • Engineering and computer science

Inspiring the Next Generation

Beyond each activity, STEM summer camp helped campers build skills that reach beyond the classroom.

Campers practiced curiosity by asking questions, confidence by trying new things, and resilience by learning from challenges.

Most importantly, campers learned that unexpected results are part of discovery. Scientists, engineers, and innovators use challenges to improve ideas and find new solutions.

We are proud of every camper who explored something new and embraced the learning process. We look forward to welcoming future explorers, innovators, and problem solvers for another summer of STEM learning.
