Exclusive preview invites members and stakeholders to explore immersive STEM experiences
Bismarck, ND – 8/15/2025 — North Dakota’s Gateway to Science will host an exclusive, members-only preview of its new Digitalis Dome Planetarium on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM at 1600 Canary Avenue, Bismarck. Guests will step inside the immersive dome, preview interactive exhibits, and experience a state-of-the-art platform for immersive experiences spanning astronomy, Earth science, biology, engineering, and more to life in stunning detail.
The Digitalis Dome Planetarium is more than a place to see stars. This 360° theater can transport audiences under the Northern Lights, into the heart of a coral reef, across the surface of Mars, or deep inside the human body. Programs will range from live night-sky tours to films on climate science, physics, space exploration, and Indigenous sky stories—making it a dynamic platform for all areas of STEM learning.
“When you’re inside the dome, the possibilities feel limitless,” said Alisha Kelim, Education Director at Gateway to Science. “We want every visitor to walk away feeling like a scientist, an explorer, and a problem-solver ready to tackle the big questions.”
The evening is designed to thank members and stakeholders whose support makes these innovative learning experiences possible. Beyond August 25, the science center will host gallery events using the planetarium and travel to schools and communities across the state, ensuring access to immersive STEM learning for audiences of all ages.
