John Paul (JP) Martin is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist (WCM) with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) in Bismarck, North Dakota. JP is responsible for managing decision support services to government agencies, managing all outreach educational training to the public and other special interest groups, and quality assuring NWS products and services. He works directly with emergency management agencies on promoting severe weather education and providing on-site decision support services to local, county, state, tribal, and federal officials during times of severe weather and disaster. This is done partly through the StormReady and Weather-Ready Nation initiatives.
