Bismarck — Gateway to Science, North Dakota’s hands-on science center, has joined the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) in addition to its membership with the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC).
As an Association of Children’s Museums Reciprocal Network Member, Gateway to Science members will receive 50% off general admission for up to six (6) people when visiting participating ACM member museums. The ACM Reciprocal Network is a voluntary group of ACM member museums open across the U.S. and Canada that reciprocate discounted admission to each other’s members. 200 museums participate in the network. The card holder must be present for discounted admission.
Gateway to Science is an ASTC member science center that participates in the association’s Travel Passport Program. Passport Program venues grant Passport Program visitors with free or reduced general admission to their center or museum.
Gateway to Science also participates in the Museums for All Program with the Institute of Museum and Library Services. This program aims to ensure that every family and child has access to a high quality museum experience. Gateway to Science offers a $3.00 per person rate for individuals participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) with a valid Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card and a photo ID. This $3.00 rate is good for up to four individuals per EBT card during normal operating hours.

Gateway to Science is North Dakota’s hands-on science center and is located in the Frances Leach High Prairie Arts & Science Complex, 1810 Schafer Street, Bismarck, North Dakota. In addition to an interactive exhibits gallery, they offer STEM educational outreach programs serving people of all ages, including out-of-school time clubs, camps, and workshops. Gateway to Science is open Monday to Thursday 1-6pm; Friday 1-5pm; and, Saturday 10am-5pm.
