STEM Adventure Club for Grades 1-5

STEM Adventure Club, where we ignite a passion for science in kids from grades 1 to 5 and fill them with the thrill of discovery! At North Dakota’s Gateway to Science, we believe in introducing young minds to the wonders of science through hands-on experiments, exciting activities, and interactive games. Each session is designed to captivate and educate, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of science.

STEM Adventure Club meets on Mondays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. at North Dakota’s Gateway to Science. Get ready to explore a world of adventure and fun—where every week is a new scientific journey!

Examples of activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engineering Design Challenges: Use materials like paper, straws, and tape to build structures that can hold a book, create weight-bearing bridges, or protect a raw egg from a fall.
  • Experiments: From extracting DNA from fruit to comparing gummy bears in different liquids and exploring chromatography.
  • Coding: Learn programming with Ozobots, Spheros, or Finch Robots.
  • Construction Design: Build and refine projects like rubber band cars, hydraulic arms, mini golf courses, airplanes, parachutes, catapults, and rockets.
