Perched above the scenic Missouri River, our deck offers breathtaking views and an unforgettable setting for any occasion. This wrap-around deck provides a stunning backdrop for gallery exploration, a beverage or snack from Oat & Toast out on the deck. The deck is also available for private rental and is a beautiful venue for weddings, private parties, corporate gatherings, graduations, and other special events. It’s the perfect place to create lasting memories.

Deck Guidelines

Please review the following guidelines before planning your visit.

Hours

The deck is open during regular hours only*, unless scheduled for a private event. *See additional hours for Oat & Toast below.

Access

Entrance is allowed only through the west door (through the lobby).

Admission to the science center is not required for access to the deck. Customers of Oat & Toast are welcome to enjoy refreshments in the lobby or on the deck.

If you want to visit the gallery…

Members: check in at the front desk to receive a wristband.

Non-members: pay admission at the front desk to receive a wristband.

All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Return to the building through the west door or exit through the south gate.

Food & Drink

We are pleased to offer a variety of refreshments through Oat & Toast, an independently operated vendor. Their hours are Sunday 1-5PM, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 8AM-5PM, and Saturday 8AM-5PM. Please consider purchasing refreshments at the kiosk rather than bringing in outside food or beverages into the building or on the deck.

Safety

Please do not hang on the railing or stand on the furniture.

Camera surveillance is in place for the security of our visitors and property.

The use of tobacco and e-cigarettes on NDGTS campus property is prohibited at all times.

Please throw away any trash before leaving the deck area.
