Field Trips

Gateway to Science welcomes the opportunity to host your classroom’s field trip! We have special rates for schools and other school-related groups such as Camp Edventure.

Please take a moment to read our School Classroom Field Trip Policy . This will acquaint you with our policies and what we can offer your students.

After your field trip…
Please complete an evaluation form at the conclusion of your field trip. Your comments will help us to make field trip experiences even more meaningful.

Get your field trip sponsored!

NEW! Due to our limited funds to support field trips, Gateway to Science has assisted in authoring requests to several schools’ Parent Teacher Organizations requesting their sponsorship of field trips. Currently, all requests that Gateway to Science has authored on the behalf of local teachers, have been approved by their PTO’s. Interested teachers can use this General Template to submit their own requests. We encourage all teachers to complete this step before applying for sponsorship directly through Gateway to Science. You will be amazed at how willing schools are to support such trips. If you need additional assistance in authoring a letter, please e-mail our Educational Outreach Coordinator, Arin, at arin@gscience.org.

Field trip sponsorships are provided by donations from supporters of Gateway to Science and will be distributed as funds are available. Preference will be given to first-year teachers and teachers who have never taken a field trip to Gateway to Science. To request sponsorship of a field trip for your class, please complete the online application form or download the application for mailing.
