Detailed Policy

North Dakota’s Gateway to Science photography policy was created to manage the number of photography sessions and private events at a time. Admission must be paid to NDGTS before any photography sessions.

Prom Photography

No unauthorized photography sessions are allowed on NDGTS property at any time without a reservation. Same-day reservations are NOT allowed. All prom photo sessions require approval and a paid fee from the Events Manager AT LEAST 48 hours in advance. Call Kristie at 701-751-6912. You must call in advance to check for early closures, private events, or other special events that may limit access.

Prom sessions will be 1 hour for a fee of $25.00. All members of a party who are to have their pictures taken need to be at NDGTS at their designated time. All photography shoots are limited to 30 minutes in the 2nd-floor Innovation Space (if available) and 30 minutes on the deck, including gathering time of the party. No photos will be allowed in the gallery. 

Innovation Space Availability

The Innovation Space is unavailable on the following dates: April 6th, April 20th, and May 11th, 2024. You may make a reservation for the deck ONLY on those dates.
