North Dakota’s Gateway to Science photography policy was created to manage the number of photography sessions and private events at a time. Admission must be paid to NDGTS before any photography sessions.
GENERAL VISITORS (OR PERSONAL PHOTOGRAPHY)
Visitors are welcome and encouraged to take photos with a cell phone or small personal camera. Photos may be taken in the lobby, gallery, deck or outside during your visit to NDGTS. Feel free to tag us on social media or upload photos with a Google review!
Prom & Graduation Photography
All prom and graduation photo sessions require approval and a paid fee from the Events Manager at least 48 hours in advance. Call in advance to check for early closures, private events, or other special events that may limit access. Call Kristie at 701-751-6912.
Prom photo sessions are 1 hour for a fee of $25.00. All members of a party who are to have their pictures taken need to be at NDGTS at their designated time. All photography shoots are limited to 30 minutes in the 2nd-floor Innovation Space (if available) and 30 minutes on the deck, including gathering time of the party. No photos allowed in the gallery.
Commercial and Media Photography
Professional photographers must arrange prior approval for all editorial and commercial photography, filming, or videotaping at the NDGTS Center. Members of the media may photograph or film within designated areas of the NDGTS Center for the purpose of news coverage. All commercial photographers and members of the media must make arrangements with Beth Demke prior to their arrival (beth@gscience.org or 701 258-1975). NDGTS reserves the right to change these guidelines subject to the ongoing schedule of programs.
